PRIVACY POLICY
Use of your personal data
For us, data protection is a very important issue, so we would like to inform you how we will use your personal data and what rights you can exercise under the applicable data protection legislation, EU Regulation 2016/679 (here also: “GDPR”) and Dutch privacy laws.

Personal Data is every unique information about your person, regardless of the fact that your name or contact details are present. Personal Data is also, for example, an IP address, information about how you feel, the GPS coordinates of your location, information about your house, your personality evaluation, your performance assessment, your brain scan, and such.

Profiling and automatic processing
We do not perform any automated profiling or decision-making process that could have an
impact on you.
For how long is my data stored? Can I change or delete my data?
TU/e stores your personal data in accordance with the GDPR. Data will not be retained for longer than is necessary to achieve the purposes for which the data was collected. Some data we are required by law to retain for a certain period of time. You can at any time modify, update or delete your data when you ask us to do so by email to privacy@tue.nl . We will comply with your request promptly and at the latest within 30 days. When we don’t need your data anymore, we will delete them.
Further use, sharing or disclosing
Audit. We may share your data with the European Commission if an audit is performed. We
will pseudonymize the data of the candidates who were not selected.

In case of complaints
You can submit a complaint about our data processing to the Data Protection Officer (FG) at
dataprotectionofficer@tue.nl. The Data Protection Officer is the link between the TU/e and the Personal Data Authority. The Dutch Data Protection Authority is the supervisory authority in the Netherlands. The Data Protection Officer acts independently of the university and can consult and/or obtain advice from the Dutch Data Protection Authority. If you do not agree with the complaint handling by the FG, you can file a complaint directly with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
