HELIOS Consortium Newsletter – June 2025

The HELIOS project, funded by the EU and supported by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, continues its mission to decarbonize power generation through innovative hydrogen combustion technologies in gas turbines.
Our consortium of leading European institutions is focused on enabling low-NOx combustion of hydrogen-enriched fuels using the cutting-edge FlameSheet™ technology. This approach aims to retrofit existing gas turbines, facilitating high-hydrogen, low-NOx combustion, and resulting in electricity generation with water as the only emission.
HELIOS brings together expertise from partners such as Eindhoven University of Technology, Thomassen Energy BV, CENTRO COMBUSTIONE AMBIENTE S.R.L., German Aerospace Center (DLR), and Delft University of Technology. Together, we are driving forward this pioneering initiative to enable a hydrogen-powered future.
